Depending on your qualifications, you will have a variety of tasks and work in delivery care, obstetric outpatient care, gynecological outpatient care, inpatient wards, daytime on-call shifts, as well as in maternity and specialist maternity care. The work is scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends

At the Women’s Clinic, over 200 employees work together. The clinic consists of Maternal Health Care, Obstetrics, and Gynecology. We provide services in delivery and postpartum care, gynecology, specialist maternity care, and maternal care. At the delivery/postpartum unit, mothers and babies are cared for in connection with childbirth, as well as pregnant women with pregnancy complications from the 22nd week of pregnancy. The specialist maternity care provides most of the ultrasound exams during pregnancy and addresses pregnant women with complicating medical conditions. The gynecology department focuses on both benign and malignant gynecological diseases, as well as the treatment of early pregnancy complications up to the 21st week of pregnancy. The maternal health care department focuses on pregnancy monitoring, parenting groups, contraceptive counseling, gynecological smear testing, and youth clinic services.
Kalmar hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postpartum care. Over 2,300 employees work here to provide high-quality care and ensure patient safety for the residents of the county.
